This morning was egg, strawberry, toast with avocado & blackberry
(idea from @_kruti ), and homemade berry infused water.
It was allergy awareness week for the InstaWeanTeam, and I made a tasty Dairy-Free Creamy Garlic Pasta with some added veggies to the original recipe. If you or your children dislike certain veggies, this is a great way to toss some in there, as the creamy sauce will fuse everything together well enough for you to enjoy every bite.
The original recipe is this one, and I made a few alterations. Definitely check out the original recipe!
I lightly steamed some frozen spinach, chopped broccoli, shredded carrots, onion and garlic in a pot before adding the ingredients to the creamy sauce.
The kids enjoyed a packed dinner today. It was full of things they love, and things they don’t love so much. I like to include food they don’t favour in hopes that eventually they’ll warm up to it. Just earlier this week out older son randomly shouted “I LOVE carrots!” which he didn’t appreciate much before. So if you have a picky eater, don’t be shy to continue offering the same thing in different sizes, textures and cooked in different ways. There’s light at the end of the tunnel!
