Roasted Honey/Cinnamon Chick Peas

“Pediatricians recommend waiting until your baby is at least 12 months before introducing honey because it may contain spores of bacteria that can cause botulism. This doesn’t mean our honey supply is contaminated — these bacteria are harmless to adults and children over 1.”

1 can chick peas
Cinnamon spice

Preheat oven at 400 degrees
Wash, drain and dry chickpeas with paper towel
Drizzle honey, cinnamon and olive oil on the chick peas
(About 1.5 tablespoons honey & 2 dashes cinnamon)
Mix everything together
Place on baking tray (single layer)
Cook for 30 minutes, or until golden brown
Let cool and serve!

Refrigerate unused portions

Recipe inspired by this one, but I cooked at a higher temperature for a shorter period of time, and I added the extra flavour before roasting them rather than after.

  1. I love roasted chick peas. I have done them in honey before. They are yummy.
